He has a hard time in the classroom with learning. With Boobie in school he has less requirements then everyone else but still gets the same credits, But in collegehe would have a real hard time because they would treat him like everyone else though he has a disability. He is one of the very few, very good football players to play in Odessa Texas. The author revels the character by introducing the football line up. Boobie was one of the first couple. Everyone wanted to be like Boobie. He would get letters from colleages asking him to come play for them. But his life was turned around during a scrimmage game. He was running the ball and he jumps up in the air and when he comes down he is hit in the leg by another football player, and blows his knee out and can't play for six to eight weeks. He tries everything to try and play again and he hurts his future worse by playing to soon and huurts his knee permantly. That is what i think made Boobie stick out from the ret of the football players.

Day 2

This is day two of independet reading blog on Friday Night Lights. Harvey has changed by the way he feels about life itself. He believes you can't take life for granted like he did before he got to know what really goes on when you get everthing you want isn't what feels right in your mind or in your heart. Harvey's personality is really complicated to explain because his personality changes alot in the book. He is a very outgoing person and likes to explore new places and take journey's to places he has never went. He also likes to journey through things that people say they would never explore by themselves.

What: The novel is about a boy (Harvey Swick) that says that life is boring and he never gets to do anything that he wants to do. Until he meets this guy that takes him to a place that gives you everthing that you have ever wanted in life itself. But when he realizes that getting what he wants all the time is taking life for granted and not doing what is right. So he decides that getting everthing you want is something you should never have in life. Or else life would be to simple to get what you need adn there would be no point of anything.

Where: The story takes place in a small town and in a Mansion away from the town that he original lives in. The setting is in a huge mansion that is really beautifull place to see that is always nice outside when they want it to be.

When: It accurs in the beginning of the story. When Harvey is brought to the Holiday House and figures out that what ever he wants or wishes will come true in the Holiday House.

Why: He wrote this book so that you know that you shouldn't take anything in life for granted expecially life itself.

I would give this novel a 9 out of 10 because it is an awsome book to read and it gives you a very qualified reason why not to take life for granted.

Day 5

Day 5 of independent book reading and I already want to get this book done and over with. This part of the book is when Wendell asks Harvey what he wants to do today and Harvey asked if they have anywhere to swim. And Wendell says they do but it is a bad ideal to swim there so Harvey goes outside and goes up into the tree house. Well Harvey wants to know why so he goes outside and askes him why he doesn't want to swim there. And Wendell tells Harvey that it rieks and it has soem sort of a monster. Well Harvey sees one of the girls in the house so he goes to see if she knew anything about the lake. Well she didn't even notice him. So he goes to ask Wendell what her problem is but he doesn't know either. So he goes to the lake to check it out and he sees the girl across the lake and she runs into the woods before he could yell at her. So in this part of the story Harvey and Wendell are sitting under the tree. They were drinking soda and reading comic books. Well Harvey falls asleep and wakes up in about ten to twenty minutes and looks to his left to see if Wendell has fallen asleep along with him but Wendell was not there. So Harvey started yelling Wendell's name. But Wendell never answered him. So he ran into the house and looked into the kitchen to ask Mrs. Griffin to see if she knew where Wendell was. But when he looked in Wendell was there snacking on some hotdogs. So Harvey walks over to Wendell and Wendell turns around and askes Harvey what he was going to where tonight for Halloween. But Harvey didn't answer him right away because he didn't think that it was Halloween allready.

Day 2

This is day 2 of my independent reading book. I am now past thirty more pages of my book. Today the book deals with a death between seasons. It starts out when Harvey and Wendell were sitting outside up in the tree house and they become really hungry. So they go inside to see what Mrs. Griffin was making for lunch. Well one of the cats named Clue Cat jumped up onto the counter next to the stove. He then perched himself onto the pan of boiling water. He then moved his tail to close to one of the burner's and burst into flames. He knocked over the pan of boiling water and a wave of it slid him off the counter by the stove and the next thing Harvey and Wendell knew is that the Clue Cat had just been killed by the cats concious.

Day 1

I have read about thirty pages in my book. The book so far has been where a kid named Harvey Swick was sitting at his home and was really bored. Well his mome came into his room and said he does not need to stare out his window at raind drops all day long so she told him to do something constructivelike clean his room. Well he is to bored and there is nothing to clean up so he is not going to clean his room. Well next thing he knows the window is banging against each other and it sounds like something is trying to get in. Well it finally blew open and got rain all over his face. Well he went over to his window and shut it and locked it tight so it won't come back open. Well he set back down and he heard a voice and didn't think anything of it and so he kept sitting there. Well he heard the voice again and searched his room anyways and behind the door was a man named Rictus. And Rictus took him to a place called Holiday House. And when he got there a old lady by the name of Mrs. Griffin took him inside and gave him something to eat and let him call his mom to find out if she knew where he is. Well he called and his mom told him that she was the one that called Rictus and had him come and get him and show him a good time. Well after he called his mom Mrs. Griffin showed him to his room and he took a nap.

The Thief Of Always

Title of Book: The Thief Of Always
Author: Clive Barker
Number of Pages: 267
Publisher and Copyright: Harper Collins Publisher in 1992
Why did you select this novel: The title of the book seemed really interesting.
What clues did you get about the novel from the cover design and the blurbs on the book jacket: The cover looks like it is an animated novel with animals and bats.
